Pine Martin.
Pine martens are native to Ireland and are members of the weasel family and are related to otters, badgers, stoats, weasels and mink, also known as the pine marten or the European marten, is a mustelid native to and widespread in most of Europe.
Pine marten can utilise a variety of den sites, which are used for breeding. Den sites can include rock crevices, tree cavities, subterranean burrows, buildings (abandoned or occupied), old bird nests, squirrel dreys and log piles.
The pine marten's main prey includes small mammals such as mice, voles, rats and squirrels.
How I captured these images
In most cases I will have my GoPro with me and document how I capture my images, white capturing footage of the subject.
