Red Fox, Drogheda, Co Louth

The Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) is an easily recognisable Irish mammal, being very dog-like, with a slender muzzle and long, horizontally-held bushy tail.

The fox is a solitary animal that does not hunt as a pack. It is recognised as a highly adaptable omnivore, whose lack of dietary specialisation allows it to exploit a wide range of environments

I captured these images after scouting the location and familiarizing myself with the trails the fox uses to move between locations. Spreading some dog nut to encourage the fox to stop for a snack.

How I captured these images

In most cases I will have my GoPro with me and document how I capture my images, white capturing footage of the subject.
